River Valley Church, a vibrant and growing congregation serving the South Bend – Mishawaka (IN) region, looks forward to adding a new member to its ministry team: a Pastor of Small Groups & Adult Discipleship. This person will provide leadership for the development and implementation of a dynamic ministry of assimilation utilizing small groups wherein members of the church are growing as disciples of Christ as they participate in community through mission and mission through community.

River Valley Church is a healthy, twenty-five year-old, multi-generational, non-denominational, elder-led congregation with a clearly defined mission of inviting and equipping people to know and live like Jesus. That mission has given shape to a multi-faceted ministry that includes the Storehouse Food Pantry, the River Valley Preschool, multiple adult Bible studies, dynamic student ministries, and more. Pastor Mark Moore has been serving the congregation as Lead Pastor for just over one year. During his short tenure, worship attendance has more than doubled to nearly 1000 people per week.

Mishawaka, the Princess City, lies nestled along the meandering path of the St. Joseph River. The city, founded in 1838, is now home for about 50,000 citizens and was recently recognized as ʺA Best Place to Raise Your Kidsʺ by Business Week Magazine. A total of 29 parks allow Mishawaka residents to golf, play ball, fish and exercise. The city is home to Bethel College and to three high schools: Marian, Mishawaka, and Penn, the latter of which is across the street from River Valley Church. It also a good neighbor to South Bend, a community of 100,000 and the home of the University of Notre Dame.
