The Visalia Christian Reformed Church (VCRC) is seeking a Pastor of Congregational Life to partner with the Rev. Joel Renkema, the Pastor of Discipleship, in leading its effective ministry which includes a gifted staff of three full-time and nine part-time individuals. This growing, generous and family-oriented congregation includes over 1000 members who have committed themselves to loving and serving one another, as well as those in the community. The Pastor of Congregational Life will provide the kind of vision and direction for the congregation which leads to vital and caring relationships, as well as encouragement to serve the least, the lost, and the last.

Visalia is the oldest town between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Centrally located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, it draws visitors with its picturesque communities and beautiful landscapes against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. With its rich culture, prosperous business community, and thriving agricultural industry, Visalia, the home of Central Valley Christian School, offers a family-friendly environment ideal for work or play. The ideal candidate will be an ordained team player who couples life and ministry experience with gifts in the areas of pastoral care, ministry to adults, administration, and preaching. He will have earned a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary and will be ordained or prepared for ordination within the  Christian Reformed Church in North America.
